Valuable Tools ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights under applicable data protection law, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and its Irish implementation.

1. Who we are

2. What data we collect

Audit information (session only)

When you run an audit, you may describe your business type, team size, revenue range, and the tools you use. This information is held temporarily in a server-side session and used solely to generate your audit report. It is not stored in a database, is not linked to your identity, and is deleted when the session expires (typically within a few hours, or when you close your browser).

Email address (optional)

If you choose to unlock the premium sections of your report or subscribe to the Pro plan, you may provide your email address. This is used only to:

• Process your payment via Stripe (see below)
• Send you the weekly savings digest if you subscribe to Pro

You are never required to provide an email address to use the free audit.

Payment information

We use Stripe to process payments. We never see or store your card details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to any information you provide during checkout: stripe.com/ie/privacy.

Log data

Our web server may log standard request information (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and operational purposes. These logs are not shared and are retained for a short period only.

3. How we use your information

• To generate your audit report (session data)
• To process your Pro subscription payment (email + Stripe)
• To send you the weekly savings digest if subscribed (email only)
• To maintain the security and operation of the service (log data)

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or sell it to any third party.

4. Third-party services

OpenAI

We use OpenAI's API to generate audit recommendations. Your business description and tool list are sent to OpenAI's servers to produce the AI analysis. OpenAI processes this data in accordance with its own privacy policy and API data usage policies. We do not send any personally identifying information to OpenAI (no name, email, or contact details).

Stripe

Stripe processes payments for Pro subscriptions. If you subscribe, your payment details are handled entirely by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment and your email address only.

5. Cookies

Valuable Tools uses a single session cookie to maintain your audit results while you navigate the site. This cookie is strictly necessary for the service to function and does not track you across other websites. No advertising or analytics cookies are set.

6. Your rights under GDPR

If you are in the EU/EEA, you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of any personal data we hold about you
• Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data
• Erasure — ask us to delete your personal data ("right to be forgotten")
• Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data
• Portability — receive your data in a portable format
• Object — object to our use of your data for legitimate interests

Because we do not store audit data persistently, most of these rights relate only to email addresses provided for Pro subscriptions. To exercise any right, contact us at hi@valuable.tools. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (Ireland).

7. Data retention

• Session (audit) data: deleted automatically when the session expires
• Pro subscriber email: retained while your subscription is active and for up to 12 months after cancellation
• Server logs: retained for up to 30 days

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page with an updated date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
